Mission

SBO is a parent-led nonprofit organization designed to support the orchestra students and teachers of BHS through, among other things, fundraising, organizing events and coordinating volunteers.

Megan Mahmoud

President

Megan Mahmoud was born in Vietnam and grew up in Houston. She lived in Overland Park, KS for 13 years before moving to NWA five years ago. She and her husband are both graduates of Texas A&M, Gig’em Aggies. She is a proud wife to Alfie and Mom to Isabelle and Sophia, who are both Seniors this year. Isabelle is a cellist in the BHS Chamber Orchestra. Last year was her first time to serve on SBO as secretary. When she is not caring for her family, you will find her at Fellowship Church, Walton Life Fitness Center, volunteering as a Benton County Master Gardener or hanging out on Beaver Lake.

Jerushia Dyer

Co-Vice President

Jerushia Dyer was born in California, but mostly grew up in Oklahoma. She and her husband Dan are graduates of Oklahoma State University, and moved to Bentonville in 2002. They have 3 amazing daughters who each love music. Their youngest currently plays violin in Chamber. Jerushia first became involved in SBO in 2016. She loves serving at church, volunteering in the community, and being involved at BHS.

Meg Williardson

Co-Vice President

Meg Willardson is a Bay Area, Ca native who has lived in NWA for 18 years. She is the mother of 7 children. She has a junior and a freshman in the orchestra program at BHS. Meg collects vinyl records and new hobbies. She enjoys beekeeping, running, singing, dill pickles, gardening, and carpentry. She is passionate about music, her faith, supporting youth, and improving the foster care experience in NWA. Meg loves to learn and is a full time student at University of Arkansas set to graduate in 2024.

Amy Bingham

 

Co-Treasurer

Amy Bingham is a native Texan raised in SE Asia.  After graduating from BYU she followed her sweetheart, James to Chicago for grad school and then to NWA.  Together they are raising 4 boys and a girl.  Amy loves reading and playing with the littles, hosting parties for the teenagers, serving at Church and in the community, and relishing in the fabulous musical opportunities available at Bentonville schools for her kiddos.

Dan Dyer

Co-Treasurer

Dan Dyer was born and raised in Texas and Oklahoma. An Oklahoma State graduate, He and his wife Jerushia relocated to Bentonville after graduation to begin a career with Walmart. He loves mountain biking, home improvement projects, pizza, and popcorn. If you haven’t met Dan, stop by or signup to volunteer at the concessions run by SBO. He’ll be happy to get you a popcorn and Dr. Pepper!!

Marcie Bayles

Secretary

Marcie Bayles grew up in Texas but then lived in CA, UT and China before Arkansas. She taught high school Computer Science and Math, has 5 children, is a Certified Life Coach specializing in parents of adult children and is president of the women’s ministry at church. This is her 12th year supporting BHS music programs! She loves singing with SoNA Singers, reading, beach time, and the burgers @ Malco Towne Cinema.
