Dan Grover

President

Dan Grover has been a member of the Bentonville community since 2007, when he and his wife, Linsey, moved from Dallas. Dan grew up in Seattle, and is a graduate of Brigham Young University.  He has nearly 25 years of professional experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, having worked with notable companies like Kraft Foods, The Coca-Cola Company, and The Clorox Company.
He and Linsey are parents of six children: Adelin (Viola, 2019), Seth (Viola, 2022), Luke (Viola, 2025), Gisele (Violin, BHS Camarata), Titus (Cello, WJHS) and Flora.

Elena Shatilenko

Vice President of Publicity

Elena was born and raised in the former Soviet Union—back when it was one country and not fifteen different ones, which makes geography quizzes interesting for her. She studied Nuclear Power Engineering at Donetsk University, so yes—her children know better than to argue with her about science homework.

She and her family have lived in many places, including Ukraine, Russia, France, Bangladesh, Vietnam, England, Indonesia, Houston, and San Francisco. At this point, when she fills out address forms, she just sighs deeply.

Her three children spent five years in Connections Academy Virtual School, where Elena served as their learning coach. So when the pandemic hit and everyone was adjusting to online school, her family simply shrugged and continued on as usual.

In 2021, the family moved to Arkansas, at the same time her oldest son entered the United States Military Academy at West Point. Elena is now a proud mother of a second lieutenant—which means she has mastered the art of smiling confidently while quietly worrying anyway. Her younger two children are currently at Bentonville High School—a 17-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter—so the house is never quiet, and always interesting.

Elena speaks Russian, French, and English. She taught all of her children piano and music theory from a very young age, so their home was filled with either beautiful music… or enthusiastic noise. She plays piano herself and was professionally trained in ballet.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, dancing, cooking, and oil painting. If it involves creativity or rhythm, she’s there.

She is happy to be part of the Bentonville Orchestra Boosters and looks forward to connecting with everyone.
